McDonald Farm Beef and Lamb
Our gourmet grass-fed Galloway beef and Clun Forest lamb comes from locally adapted animals that have been genetically selected for tenderness and flavor. For many years now we have been enjoying the products from these premium animals, which have grazed on our abundant pastures. All of our cows and sheep are free of antibiotics, growth hormones, and anabolic steroids and have never been confined in any way. First and foremost, these animals are raised ethically and humanely. All of our beef and lamb is provincially inspected for your family's safety.
McDonald Farm Pork
Our pastured pork comes from Berkshire pigs, an heirloom breed renowned for the exceptional taste and texture of their meat. Our pigs are never confined in a building at any time in their lives. We supplement the pigs with a small amount of high quality grain to not only keep them healthy, but also to encourage them to forage on their own and get plenty of exercise and fresh air. Our Berkshire pigs are never kept on less than 40 acres, where they are free to forage for tasty treats such as roots and leaves. An indicator that we are on the right track is the obvious health and athleticism of the animals. Our pigs not only live in complete harmony with their environment, they enhance the ecosystem around them. It is exceedingly rare to find pigs that are totally free to romp, roam, and feed their babies outside on pasture. It is a model that should be seen by everyone. All of our pork is provincially inspected for your family's safety.
Where can you get our meat?
Arrange for pickup on the farm. Come on out and see animals raised ethically and in harmony with nature.
Delivery is free to Winnipeg at least once per month - We encourage you to partner on orders with like minded individuals.
